The Short Version

  • We only collect what you choose to share: your enquiry, call, WhatsApp or email, and project details if you become a customer.
  • We use it to answer you, survey your site, deliver your system and file your paperwork. We never sell or rent it.
  • This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers.
  • You can ask us to show, correct or delete your data at any time.
  • Questions go to our Grievance Officer, Pratik Zankat, at enquiry@growenergies.com.

Who We Are

Grow Energies designs, installs and maintains solar, wind and energy storage systems for homes and businesses across Gujarat. We are headquartered at 403, 3rd Floor, The Park, Above Nexa Maruti Showroom, OP Road, Vadodara 390020, with a branch office in Kamrej, Surat.

This policy explains how we handle personal data collected through growenergies.com and through the enquiries you make by phone, WhatsApp or email. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act"), Grow Energies is the Data Fiduciary for this data and you are the Data Principal. It is also published in line with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it.

What We Collect

When You Contact Us

Through our enquiry form: your name and phone number, and if you choose to share them, your email address, city or site location, the service you're interested in, your approximate monthly electricity bill and anything you write in the message box. When you call, WhatsApp or email us, we receive your phone number or email address and whatever you choose to tell us.

If You Become a Customer

To survey, design, install and service your system, we may collect your site address, roof and site photographs, electricity bills, consumer number and load details. If you ask us to file subsidy or net-metering applications on your behalf, we'll need the documents those applications require, such as proof of identity, proof of property ownership and the bank account in which the subsidy is to be credited. We collect these only once you engage us, and only what each application asks for.

Collected Automatically

Like every website, ours is served by a hosting provider whose servers keep standard technical logs: your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of each request. These are used to keep the site secure and running. We don't use them to identify or profile you.

What We Never Ask For

We never ask for passwords, card numbers or OTPs through this website, and no one from Grow Energies will ask for them by phone or WhatsApp. If someone does, it isn't us.

How We Use It

We use your personal data only for the purposes you shared it for:

  • To respond to your enquiry, call you back and schedule a site survey.
  • To prepare your proposal, generation estimate and quotation.
  • To install, commission, monitor and maintain your system, and to honour warranties.
  • To file the subsidy, net-metering and connectivity applications you ask us to handle.
  • To keep the invoices and records that tax and company law require.
  • To keep this website secure and working.

We process your data with your consent, or because you voluntarily provided it for a specific purpose, as the DPDP Act permits, and where the law requires us to. We don't sell, rent or trade your personal data, and we won't add you to a marketing list unless you ask us to.

Who We Share It With

We share personal data only when it's needed for the purposes above:

  • Service providers who run parts of our business for us, such as website hosting, form delivery, email and messaging. They may use your data only to provide their service to us.
  • Your electricity distribution company and government portals, such as MGVCL, DGVCL, PGVCL, UGVCL or Torrent Power, the PM Surya Ghar national portal and GEDA, when you ask us to file applications on your behalf.
  • Banks and financing partners, only if you ask us to arrange financing, and only with your permission.
  • Authorities, when the law, a court or a government agency requires it.

If you message us on WhatsApp, that conversation is also covered by WhatsApp's own privacy policy. Some of our service providers may store data on servers outside India. Any such transfer follows the DPDP Act and is never made to a country the Government of India has restricted.

How Long We Keep It

DataHow Long We Keep It
Enquiries that don't lead to a projectUp to 24 months after our last conversation, then deleted
Customer and project recordsFor as long as we service your system and our warranty obligations last
Invoices and financial recordsAs long as tax and company law require, typically eight years
Website server logsA short period set by our hosting provider

When we no longer need your data for any of these purposes, we delete it or anonymise it.

How We Protect It

The entire website is served over encrypted HTTPS. Inside the company, access to customer data is limited to the people who need it for your project, and we work with established service providers who maintain their own security safeguards.

No system is perfectly secure. If a personal data breach ever affects you, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India, as the DPDP Act requires.

Your Rights

Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

  • Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you, how we use it and who we've shared it with.
  • Correct and update anything that's inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Erase your data, unless the law requires us to keep it.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it. This doesn't affect anything we did before you withdrew, though we may no longer be able to continue your project.
  • Grievance redressal: raise a complaint with our Grievance Officer and receive a response.
  • Nominate a person to exercise these rights for you in the event of death or incapacity.

To use any of these rights, contact our Grievance Officer using the details below. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on a request. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Cookies and Tracking

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising pixels or third-party tracking scripts. Our fonts, images and videos are served from our own site, so browsing it doesn't send your data to font or video platforms.

Some links take you to other services: WhatsApp, Google Maps for directions, and your phone or email app. Those services have their own privacy policies. If we ever add analytics or cookies to this site, we'll update this policy before we do.

Children

Our services are meant for property owners and businesses. We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their details, contact us and we'll delete them.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top. If a change significantly affects how we use data you've already given us, we'll tell you directly.
